THE WNBA: Where nothing happens

This article might make people mad, but that’s what U MAD does, so screw it.  It seems that WNBA apologists, players and coaches don’t understand how businesses work, particularly supply, demand & revenue.   In 2019, the NBA generated 8 billion in revenue. Although not chump change, the WNBA generated 60 million dollars. The WNBA distributes about 12.3 million of the 60 million dollar pie to its players, while the NBA distributes 49-51% of the revenue to players. Why are these numbers important? Because the players complain about equal pay. WNBA players feel they’re equal to their male counterparts.  Essentially, these women want equal pay from less revenue generated, and less work. Not counting the preseason, a typical NBA season(counting a long playoff run) can be around 82-100+ games played, whereas a full WNBA season is 34 games to 50 something games, in one or two game playoff scenarios, and best of 5 playoffs series in later rounds.  Imagine you w...
