Zack Synder's Justice League Review
experience. This is the movie they should've released in the first place, but Warner Bros. couldn't keep their hands out of the cookie jar when they hired Joss Whedon to put his spin on the film. The movie ties up loose ends, and everything falls into place. Everything makes sense, whereas in Whedon's film, nothing makes any sense. Zack Synder perfectly placed small backstories for the minor characters that help people understand their place in the film, as well as making them sympathetic. Also, without spoiling the movie, we see the redemption of Ben Affleck & Jared Leto's Batman & Joker.
However, the movie isn't without trademark Synderisms. The movie is full of slo-motion shots, excessive subpar CGI/green screen, eery gospel music, and in case you didn't know, the movie is EXTREMELY long. Like excessively long. 4 HOURS LONG. If it's one negative of the movie, it is the length. I highly advise you watch this movie intervals. Treat it like 3 or four standalone movies, because it's edited in an episodic comic book way.
Zack Synder's Justice League is an epic grandiose film. I am looking forward to any potential sequels. I give the movie a 7 out of 10 or 2.4 stars out of 3.
